This map shows the approximate location and descriptions of 250 navigational aids and points of interest in Bermuda’s territorial waters. Information on each location can be seen by clicking on the pin (e.g. color, flash patterns, location description).
The locations in this map are intended for educational purposes only, and should not be used for navigation. If you have any feedback, corrections or additions please let me know.
The map was created to help the author visualize the main channel patterns and navigational aids in Bermuda, as part of the the A-, B-, and C-class pilots license exams. Most locations were tagged on the Google Map imagery available in early 2023. Many of the inshore markers can be seen in the map imagery when zoomed in. Over time the markers and imagery will both shift, resulting in decreasing visual accuracy.
Use the menu bar in the map to show/hide different layers, i.e. navigational aids, unlit small channel markers, shipwrecks, and the offshore approach lights to Bermuda. Some basic channel overlays are also available, but are not particularly accurate. They are a visual guide to general shape and path.
The map is best viewed on a desktop browser in its own tab. On a mobile device the square bracket icon will open in the Google Maps app.
